blog

We're puttin' the blog back together!

...mostly just as a place to showcase a few things and give a short tutorial that folks seem to like.

How to Not be Bad at Photography (in three phrases/ten words)

1. Know Your Subject: Photos are memories. Not the experience... experience something before you get your camera out to make memories of said experience!

2. Less Really Is More: No one, not even your Mom, wants to see your 300 pictures from... anything, unless you recently had a baby, and then your Mom, and likely only your Mom, wants to see all 300. The digital age has inclined us to take a million photos, go ahead and take a million photos, but then delete 999,997 of them... take a few good photos you love.

3. Change Your Angle: This is especially helpful if you're taking photos of things most people have seen before, like, say Big Ben... everyone has seen Big Ben, but not everyone has seen Big Ben in your champagne glass or within another tourist's camera lens.
